Teratological Soundscapes, a sonic artwork arose from the inspiration and boundless talent of the multi-instrumentalist Balkar Wachholz aka Ángel Sánchez Cervera, is an intrasigently complex as well as cosmically enchanting release. The gothic/concrete "darkscape" that is evoked doesn‘t erupt with a sudden moment of shock and thus ends the listener‘s metaphoric discomfort, but on the contrary moves on with a creepy build-up of tension, visionariety and anxiety. The album contains four dismal figments, spanning from 4+ till 22+ minutes. If you are looking for cheap shockers, look elsewhere. This is serious business. Almost a ritual experience that will envelope every single atom of your being with an obscure caress of poetry and subtle determination.
